Q&A: Chicago Tribune’s K.C. Johnson

The Chicago Tribune’s K.C. Johnson started at the ground floor of the Internet age of journalism. Johnson, a former basketball player at Beloit College, moved from covering high school sports to becoming the Tribune’s first full-time online sports reporter in 1996, when he covered the 72-10 Bulls team with Michael Jordan.

Since then, Johnson has moved on to cover the Blackhawks, Bears and Bulls for both the print and online editions of the Tribune. He also covered U.S. men’s basketball team’s gold-medal run at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
