New York native Craig Kanalley is best known as the brain behind the Twitter-based news site Breaking Tweets. Kanalley developed the site as a graduate student at DePaul University, where he now teaches Digital Editing.

A Chicago Tribune intern, Kanalley writes and column for The Poynter Institute’s E-Media Tidbits blog and will soon join the staff of The Huffington Post.

ChicagoStorytelling’s Christa Yan recently interviewed Kanalley about his site, the future of journalism and his new role with the Huffington Post.
